Accounts Payable Certification – Specialist

Nov 13 2023

8:30 AM - 4:30 PM PDT

Montego A

In one full day, you will be prepared to earn your certification credentials as an Accredited Payables Specialist or an Accredited P2P Specialist. The content is best suited for those below the Manager level, and is built around peer-tested best practices for each phase of the payment process – from receipt of invoice, through processing and payment.

The Accounts Payable Specialist Certification Program ensures that you are prepared to execute the accounts payable process and are ready to navigate the changing role of the AP practitioner. At the end of this full-day APS training, you will have the opportunity to pass a final exam (100 questions, 90 minutes) and earn your Accredited Payables Specialist credentials.

Due to increasing automation, the AP practitioner now has a chance to move away from a strictly back-office role into one that is pivotal to the efficient operation of the organization and protects its cash. By developing an understanding of process management and improvement, working with software solutions and artificial intelligence, monitoring and encouraging regulations and internal controls, and keeping an eye out from fraud, accounts payable staff are at last becoming recognized as the true professionals they are.

Starting with a foundation of peer-tested best practices (including an understanding of internal controls and tax and regulatory matters), this Certification program then dives into task-specific subject areas, ending with the industry-shaping influence of technology.

Course type: In-person (with online access to e-textbook) | Designation Earned: Accredited Payables Specialist (APS) | Designed for: The Accounts Payable Specialist (APS) Certification Program is designed for individuals responsible for executing AP processes.
