Coleen Schwyzer is the Director of Accounts Payable at Collin Community College with more than 20 years experience in Accounts Payable, Travel and Expense, financial operations, process improvement and higher education administration. 

Since joining Collin Community College in 2013, Coleen has advanced through multiple leadership roles, including AP Coordiantor, AP Supervisor and AP Manager and Director. Having worked at every level within Accounts Payable, she brings a practical perspective to process improvement, payment modernization and change management. 

Coleen has led initiatives focused on automation, fraud prevention, supplier managment, operational efficiency, and customer service. She played a key role in Collin Community College’s Workday implementation and has successfully led OCR invoice automatation, ACH payment expansion, supplier portal enhancement, utilily automation, expense managment improvements and strengthend internal controls.

A strong advocate for continuous improvement, Coleen is passionate about helping organziations modernize Accounts Payable while balancing efficiency, cost savings, customer service and risk management.

In 2025, she received the NISOD Excellence Award for leadership, innovation, and excellence.
