Luz is the Director of Global Business Services at Avis Budget Group, where they have the privilege of leading incredible teams across Hungary, Guatemala, Virginia, New Jersey, India, the Philippines, and Mexico. Together, they support a wide range of functions including Accounts Payable, Licensee and Agency Operations, and Corporate Travel & Expense.

Over Luz’s 15+ years with the company, They’ve focused on building processes and teams that make our operations more efficient, connected, and forward-thinking. One of their most rewarding projects has been revamping our Corporate Travel Program—a global transformation that brought together every aspect of travel, from launching a single card program and a new travel management company and platform, to updating policy and introducing AI-driven audit tools. This effort modernized how our employees travel while improving transparency, compliance, and the overall experience.

What motivates Luz the most is creating an environment where people feel empowered to innovate, collaborate, and grow. Luz holds an MBA in Accounting and am a Certified Procure-to-Pay Manager. Luz is also passionate about mentoring and supporting diversity in leadership, and was honored to participate in WiHTL’s Get Board Ready Programme.
