Kristina Steinkamp

Kristina (Krissy) Steinkamp is a Senior Manager of Procure to Pay at UPMC, where she supports the Pharmacy Supply Chain through leadership of the Customer Support, Demand Planning, and Accounts Payable teams. She holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and an MBA from Robert Morris University. Along with prior roles in organizations such as U. S. Steel and Dick’s Sporting Goods, Kristina has nearly 20 years of Procure to Pay experience, where she has built deep expertise in reporting and analytics, automation, process improvement, and large-scale transformation.

At UPMC, Krissy leads high‑impact Procure to Pay initiatives focused on aligning Pharmacy Supply Chain business processes with enterprise cash flow, compliance, and financial stewardship expectations within a large, complex healthcare system. Her team is responsible for facilitating and supporting more than $2.7B in annual spend across multiple purchasing models, classes of trade, and care settings.  Most recently, Krissy expanded system ACH payment capabilities, unlocking more than $4M annually in early‑pay discount savings while reinforcing supplier payment integrity to mitigate credit‑related risks that could impact patient care.

With the continued growth of UPMC’s healthcare system, Krissy supports ongoing transformation efforts to evolve pharmacy processes to meet current business needs while establishing scalable solutions for the future. Through redesigning workflows, strengthening reporting, and implementing automation and controls across AP, Demand Planning, and Customer Support, she has helped reduce manual efforts and saved more than 2,000 working hours annually across her teams. These improvements have allowed her staff to focus on higher‑value work while continuing to reinforce UPMC’s commitment to compliance, financial stewardship, and patient‑centered resource management.
