Breakout Session Tips & Tricks

  • Breakout Sessions are 50 minutes long. Try to plan 35 -40 minutes of content and save the last 10/15 minutes for questions.
    • How can you engage the audience throughout the session to build up a discussion?
    • We are excited to have a full Conference schedule. Please be aware of the start and end time of your session – sessions must end on time. A room monitor will be outside your room & will open the door at the end of your session. Thank you for ending your session on time.
  • The most memorable talks offer something fresh and highlight unique stories.
  • Attendees love takeaways!
    • What are action items or new skills you can encourage attendees to try in their roles/life?
 

Pre-Conference Workshop Tips & Tricks

  • Pre-Conference Workshops are 3 hours long. Try to build time for questions and group discussion into your presentation.
    • How can you engage the audience throughout the session?
    • Please be aware of the start and end time of your session as well as breaks.  A room monitor will be outside your room & will open the door at the end of your session and during breaks. Thank you for ending your session on time.
    • There will be lunch served for Speakers and Pre-Conference Workshop attendees.
  • The most memorable talks offer something fresh and highlight unique stories.
  • Attendees love takeaways!
    • What are action items or new skills you can encourage attendees to try in their roles/life

 

Learning Objectives

  • All session descriptions must include learning objectives to ensure the session qualifies for CPE Credit.
  • Learning Objectives must be based on relevant objectives and outcomes that clearly articulate the knowledge, skills, and abilities that can be achieved by participants in the session.
